The Project also forms part of the ASEAN University<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">Network \u2013 AEC Thematic Network (AUN-AEC Network).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The 13th ASEAN Summit in Singapore in November 2007 endorsed the initiative of establishing an ASEAN Single<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">Aviation Market (ASAM) by 2015 in support of the development of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The ASAM is one of the key pillars supporting the establishment of the AEC via facilitating free, efficient, safe<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">and secure movement of people and goods within and potentially beyond ASEAN. In April 2016, ASEAN reached a significant milestone with the realisation of open skies for the ASEAN market through the full ratification of the ASEAN<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">open skies agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The main objective of the Workshop is the explore issues affecting optimisation of ASEAN Aviation integration, which is critical for the integration of the ASEAN Community. Aviation<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">Integration will connect the people of ASEAN whilst at the same time will also be able to contribute to the economic growth of the region.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">To further support the realization of the ASEAN Aviation Integration, the workshop will explore issues<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">on:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The possibility of allowing the creation of ASEAN wide airlines, to the like of Community Carrier;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">The liberalization of investment in the aviation<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">companies and carriers throughout ASEAN to enhance access to capital and to increase intra-ASEAN investment;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">The free movement of aircraft across ASEAN carriers, where ASEAN carriers may be able to<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">have access to excess aircraft among ASEAN carriers;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Free movement of pilots and aircrews within ASEAN Member States; and<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">E-commerce in the aviation sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
