SDG: 4 & 17 20 July 2023. School of Liberal Studies (PPCU) received a delegation from Transformational Innovative Maverick (TIM) Sdn. Bhd. The delegation, led by Mrs. Michelle and Mrs. Alwiyah was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mashitoh Yaacob, Dr. Lim Kar Keng, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamdzun Haron, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wahiza Wahi and other staff. The meeting between the two parties held at CITRA-ÿ�մ��app Meeting Room was aimed for cooperation in providing opportunities for students from Hubei University of China who are interested in pursuing their studies at CITRA-ÿ�մ��app. The visit is expected to enable students and lecturers from Hubei University of China to pursue the Master of Liberal Studies at ÿ�մ��app and gain practical experience and in-depth knowledge in the various fields available at CITRA-ÿ�մ��app.

Program Kenali Sains Citra with Pre-University Students from Kajang High School

Venue: Auditorium Siswa at Pusanika, PTSL, and around ÿ�մ��app SDG: 4 12 July 2023. Program Kenali Citra (Get to Know Citra) is a targeted promotional activity for pre-university students organized by the Alumni and External Relations Exco of PESISTRA in collaboration with the Strategic Communication Committee of JK Kerja SmSn Citra. Among interesting activities conducted are sharing session on SmSn Citra by the Head of Programme, Dr. Rozita Ibrahim, a session with SmSn Citra students, a tour around ÿ�մ��app, and a sharing session by the alumni. Kenali Citra is participated by 80 form 6 students from the Kajang High School, 5 accompanying teachers, and 30 facilitators from PESISTRA. The programme is also attended by the Senior Deputy Head of Form 6 students, Dr. Hawiyah Baba, as well as Citra’s Assistant Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Wardah Mustafa Din. This programme is an effort to promote the SmSn Citra programme while consolidating collaboration between the university and the community. The initiative is hoped to be able to enlighten students about Citra and encourage these students to pursue their studies at the tertiary level. @kajanghighschool, we hope to see you again at another event!

SDG: 4 & 9 The School for Liberal Studies (PPCU) held a student colloquium at the CITRA Meeting Room on July 10–11, 2023. The programme was organised by the Bachelor of Liberal Studies programme committee and featured presentations from final-year students of the CITRA ÿ�մ��app. This programme is focused on the capstone project presentations of students who have undergone industrial training and is attended by CITRA ÿ�մ��app students, staff, and industrial representatives. This programme is expected to develop skills in presenting new ideas and innovations among CITRA ÿ�մ��app students.

FUD UIN RMS Indonesia – Citra-ÿ�մ��app Cooperation Visit

The School of Liberal Studies (CITRA-ÿ�մ��app) hosted a delegation from Fakultas Ushuluddin dan Dakwah, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta (FUD UIN RMS), Indonesia, on July 5-6, 2023, led by Prof. Dr. Islah, dean of FUD UIN RMS. Prof. Dr. Khairul Anwar Mastor, dean of CITRA-ÿ�մ��app, and other staff welcomed the delegation. The two parties met in the CITRA-ÿ�մ��app meeting room to launch the CITRA ÿ�մ��app-FUD UIN RMS Seminar with the theme “Managing Post-Pandemic Mental Health Issues from an Islamic Psychological Perspective.” The visit is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two organisations.

EDU-VISIT TO JAPAN

The School for Liberal Studies (PPCU) paid a visit to various leading Japan higher education institutions such as the University Of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Tokyo Institute Of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Osaka University, Kansai University, Gifu University, and Tokyo University Of Foreign Studies from June 12–17, 2023. The delegation led by PPCU Dean Prof. Dr. Khairul Anwar Mastor and Dr. Affifudin Husairi were welcomed by the institution’s head and other staff. The two parties met with the goal of strengthening and improving ÿ�մ��app’s cooperation network with higher education institutions in Japan.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s��School of Liberal Studies��(PPCU) has created another step to advance internationally through the appointment of another member of PPCU’s international advisory board.

Prof. Dr. Yasuyuki Kono, Deputy President of the International Strategy department, Kyoto University has been appointed as a member of the International Advisory Board of the University’s��School of Liberal Studies. The appointment letter handover ceremony was held on 16 June 2023 at Kyoto University and was completed by ÿ�մ��app’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kassim witnessed by the Dean of PPCU, Prof. Dr. Khairul Anwar Mastor and Dr. Affifudin Husairi has always been Assistant Dean of PPCU Teaching. Also present at the ceremony was the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Isaac Ahmad.

Graduate Student Research Proposal Examination Report Presentation

Last week, the Graduate Committee,��ÿ�մ��app Pusat Pengajian Citra Universiti (School of Liberal Studies)(PPCU), ÿ�մ��app held a session on the Presentation of the Examination Report of Graduate Student Research Proposals.

The presentation session was conducted based on the following stipulations:

Mental and physical health for each individual is very important in ensuring the quality of daily life and productivity at work is at a satisfactory level. Stress can be a risk and obstacle in achieving the goals and planned work results. Through this workshop, Citra residents who attended were exposed to the causes of stress and how to manage it effectively. A relaxed sharing session along with brief activities with the participants that have been carried out make this workshop a good end to the week for the people of Citra. Hopefully the sharing from this workshop can help Citra citizens understand themselves and manage stress better, further building their potential and performance.

Meeting between PPCU Malay instructors and Prof. Dr. Khairul Anwar Mastor, Dean of the University’s School of Citra Studies, was conducted on June 8, 2023, which is a Thursday. The emphasis of the meeting, which was conducted in the PPCU Hall, was a discussion between Prof. The dean and the BM CITRA instructors to get the instructors’ opinions and feedback on issues pertaining to the PPCU Malay language course. As one of the ideas of cooperation with language study institutes in Japan, Prof. The Dean, who went for Japan on June 11 with the Deputy Dean of Teaching Citra, Dr. Affifudin Husairi, will direct the Malay language programme at CITRA ÿ�մ��app.
