Our Chemical Biology research group explores the intricate chemistry of life, with a special focus on glycobiology\u2014deciphering genes, chemical modifications, and their biological roles. We delve into halogenase gene expression and enzymatic chemistry, unlocking new biocatalytic potential. Our work in natural products chemistry fuels the discovery of bioactive compounds, while our synthetic chemistry efforts drive innovations in porphyrins and next-generation antimalarial agents.
