Crowdfunding serves as an alternative means for supporting Bumiputera SME growth, but research on the behavioural intention of SMEs to conduct crowdfunding is scarce. This study addresses the gap by reviewing the literature on the behavioural intention of SMEs to conduct crowdfunding. This study uses a combination of bibliometric and systematic review methods to analyse the factors that can influence the crowdfunding platform usage of SME entrepreneurs. By following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) 2021guidelines, this study reviews 27 papers and identifies key themes from the factors that may influence the behavioural intention of SMEs to conduct crowdfunding, such as financing accessibility, performance and effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and trialability. This study contributes to future research by exploring the factors that can influence the behavioural intention of SMEs to conduct crowdfunding through a systematic review of previous studies and expanding theoretical models, with constructs such as trialability, for policymaking. The findings can assist policymakers in formulating strategies to support SME growth by identifying the key behavioural factors that can influence the behavioural intention of SMEs to conduct crowdfunding.

Digital Transformation in Accounting Education: Exploring the Influence of Lecturers’ Behavioural Intentions and High-Context Culture /jurnalpengurusan/article/digital-transformation-in-accounting-education-exploring-the-influence-of-lecturers-behavioural-intentions-and-high-context-culture/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=digital-transformation-in-accounting-education-exploring-the-influence-of-lecturers-behavioural-intentions-and-high-context-culture Fri, 22 Aug 2025 07:47:53 +0000 /jurnalpengurusan/?post_type=article&p=7755 In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, accounting education is undergoing significant transformation. This study investigates the drivers behind Chinese accounting lecturers’ behavioural intention to integrate digital teaching tools. Guided by Diffusion of Innovation and Social Cognitive theories, our objective was to examine factors including compatibility, relative advantage, observability, and self-efficacy, while accounting for China’s distinctive high-context culture. We surveyed 317 lecturers from top-tier universities to capture their perceptions and intentions. The analysis reveals that compatibility and self-efficacy strongly influence lecturers’ willingness to integrate digital technology, whereas relative advantage and observability do not exert a significant effect. Moreover, China’s cultural norms amplify the impact of self-efficacy on behavioural intention towards digital technology. These findings underscore the need for tailored support and training that aligns with cultural values, ultimately enhancing teaching effectiveness. This study contributes originality by linking theoretical frameworks with cultural influences, ensuring that future accounting professionals are well-prepared for the dynamic digital era.

Digital Transformation in Hotels: A Meta-Analysis of UTAUT-based Empirical Evidence /jurnalpengurusan/article/digital-transformation-in-hotels-a-meta-analysis-of-utaut-based-empirical-evidence/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=digital-transformation-in-hotels-a-meta-analysis-of-utaut-based-empirical-evidence Tue, 01 Jul 2025 06:21:17 +0000 /jurnalpengurusan/?post_type=article&p=7693 This research conducts a meta-analysis of 14 empirical studies (published from 2021–2025) that used the UTAUT and UTAUT2 models to examine users’ behavioural intention toward hotel technology adoption. Employing the PRISMA protocol and Meta-Essentials software, we synthesised effect sizes for seven UTAUT constructs; Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value and Habit. All constructs exhibited significant relationships with behavioural intention (r = 0.20–0.28), albeit with substantial heterogeneity. Subgroup analyses revealed stronger adoption patterns among hotel guests compared to operators, as well as the greater influence of ease-of-use and enjoyment-related factors on mobile-based technologies and in Asian contexts. Theoretically, this study contributes specific insights into the UTAUT model’s validity in the hotel industry, highlighting contextual factors such as user type, technology type and regional digital readiness. The findings also offer practical implications for hospitality managers, system designers, and policymakers navigating the evolving landscape of guest-centric digital experiences.
