This approach has been proven effective in increasing student motivation and engagement. However, the complexity of financial concepts, especially in investment education, can indeed present challenges for students. This study was therefore conducted to assess the effectiveness of gamification in teaching investment subjects. A quantitative survey was conducted using questionnaires distributed to 98 students who participated in the gamified intervention. Data were collected twice, at week 1 and week 10 of the intervention, to compare outcomes and evaluate the impact of gamification. Analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, namely paired sample t-test and repeated measures ANOVA. The findings reveal a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results for all independent variables, indicating the effectiveness of gamification in stock market education. This study highlights that implementing gamification in education has the potential to enhance student motivation, engagement and positive learning experiences, foster goal achievement, improve problem-solving skills, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and skills.

The demand for quality in services by the public has not been completely realized. This is due to the level of performance of the public servants which is still low. This study is aimed at identifying the level of performance among civil servants. Factors include competence, integrity, discipline, motivation, reward and job design in measuring employee performance improvements. A total of 2320 public servants were chosen as the population in this study. Proportional random sampling method was used to represent the whole population equally. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was used to analyze the findings. Inferential statistical analysis showed that competence, motivation and job design were influenced significantly by employee performance. Furthermore, local wisdom was found to be a significant moderator to employee performance. On the other hand integrity, discipline and rewards were not significantly related to employee performance.

Given the rising number of patients being admitted to public hospitals and the increasing demands imposed by patients and their higher expectations, the need to further improve nurses’ performance and quality of service delivery becomes imperative. The Conservation of Resources (COR) theory is used to investigate the influence of human resource management methods (HRMPs), which represent organizational-based resources (in the form of participation and compensation) on nurses’ job performance (task performance and contextual performance) with motivation as the mediator. Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique was used to analyse the data collected from 354 nurses attached with Malaysian public hospitals. The results disclosed that both HRMPs have direct and positive effects on motivation. Similarly, motivation mediated the link between involvement and compensation with task and contextual performance. Similarly, motivation mediated the link between involvement and compensation with task and contextual performance. This study has offered a vital recommendation to the nurse supervisors to motivate the nurses by giving more prospects for them to engage in making decisions and participating in hospital affairs.
