鲍狈鲍-滨滨骋贬鈥檚听聽and the聽聽co-organised a SCHEMA聽聽featuring talks on environmental sustainability and health.

Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Fariz Mohamed, a Senior Fellow with the聽Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI),听Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app)聽discussed the urbanisation process that took place in Kuala Lumpur and its region. In his talk entitled 鈥Urbanisation in Transition: The Experiences of Kuala Lumpur Extended Mega Urban Regions (KLEMUR)鈥, Dr. Ahmad Fariz described how urbanisation evolved in the KLEMUR regions (which extends from Tanjung Malim in Perak to Seremban in Negeri Sembilan) since 1926 to 2008 and to this present day, the drivers of this process, as well as its implications and impacts to land use, people, and health.

听辞蹿听聽presented one of the case studies published in the聽聽that was launched at the聽聽in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in February 2018. Ms. Chong鈥檚 talk focused on barriers to creating a healthy eating environment in Malaysia based on their case study 鈥Healthy Food Choices and Diabetes鈥.

The talks are part of a series of academic exchanges under the SCHEMA project, funded by a聽. Assoc. Prof. Ahmad Fariz and Ms. Chong are both SCHEMA workshop alumni. Dr. Fariz participated in the聽聽held in Kuching in January 2017 and the聽聽held in Penang in December 2017; while Ms. Chong attended the workshop held in Penang.
