The program, held at 10:30 a.m. on 24 April 2026 (Friday), was part of the activities planned under the Occupational Safety & Health Committee (JKKP) of the ÿմapp Strategy Office. Through this interactive two-way session, participants were exposed to the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle, healthy weight management methods, and early preventive measures against diabetes.

This session not only raised health awareness but also provided practical guidance that can be applied in daily life.

Aktiviti yang telah dihadiri oleh sebahagian besar warga pejabat Strategi ÿմapp ini merupakan inisiatif di bawah Jawatankuasa Keselamatan & Kesihatan Pekerjaan (JKKP).

Penganjuran program ini bertujuan untuk menggalakkan amalan gaya hidup sihat dalam kalangan warga kerja, di samping meningkatkan tahap kecergasan fizikal serta kesejahteraan mental.

Selain itu, program ini juga berjaya memupuk semangat kebersamaan dan mengeratkan hubungan dalam kalangan peserta.

The information and SDG-related activities presented play an important role in supporting the institution’s SDG reporting as well as the university’s sustainability rankings at both national and international levels.

The workshop was held at the Main Meeting Room, ÿմapp–GSB.

All invited faculties and institutes presented various SDG-related activities carried out throughout 2025, with particular emphasis on the SDG areas that represent the strengths of each Responsibility Centre (PTj). These presentations not only reflected ÿմapp’s ongoing commitment to the sustainability agenda but also highlighted the diversity of initiatives implemented at the PTj level.

The reports prepared and presented by each PTj serve as important and significant inputs to the Strategy Centre. These reports play a systematic role in documenting and strengthening the implementation of sustainability activities at ÿմapp, in line with the university’s aspiration to achieve a Low Carbon Campus by 2030.

Overall, all faculties and institutes demonstrated excellent cooperation throughout the workshop. The Strategy Centre would like to express its highest appreciation and sincere thanks to all faculties and institutes involved in making today’s presentations a success.

The program reflects a shared commitment among various stakeholders to strengthen environmental conservation efforts and support the sustainability of the local community.

Organized by the ÿմapp-YSD Sustainability Chair, the program began with advocacy and awareness sessions aimed at enhancing community knowledge on climate change, waste management, plastic pollution, and the importance of beaches as natural buffers. Participants then took part in hands-on coastal cleanup activities, collecting solid waste along the shoreline to protect marine ecosystems and raise awareness about the environmental impacts of pollution.

The program concluded with a recycling initiative, which received an encouraging response from the local community. A total of 302.4 kilograms of recyclable waste was collected and sold to E-Idaman Sdn. Bhd., demonstrating the potential for circular economy practices at the community level. The event also received strong support from various parties, including attendance by a Deputy Executive Director (Sustainability) from the ÿմapp Strategy Centre and an opening address by YB Dr. Ahmad Fakhruddin Fakhrurazi, Member of Parliament for Kuala Kedah.

Overall, the program demonstrated that a combination of advocacy, direct action, and recycling practices can foster a more responsible and sustainable community, in line with Sustainable Development Goals SDG 11, SDG 13, and SDG 14.

The organisation of this forum reflects the strong commitment of both institutions to advancing the global sustainability agenda through the active engagement of students and youth as strategic partners in sustainable development.

The forum served as a strategic discussion platform, bringing together institutional representatives, academics, and young leaders to enrich discourse, exchange ideas, and share experiences on climate resilience, sustainability, and current climate change challenges. Through critical thinking, innovation, and youth-driven perspectives, the forum underscored the vital role of young people as agents of change capable of formulating progressive, impactful, and sustainable solutions aligned with the aspirations and agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The programme commenced with a sharing session by Associate Professor Dr. Tanot Unjah from LESTARI ÿմapp, who discussed the dynamic relationship between the environment and ongoing changes, as well as its role in supporting a nation’s sustainable development ecosystem. This was followed by a presentation by Miss Xinyan Zhao, a PhD candidate from the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, who shared insights on sustainable urban development as a key strategy for enhancing urban resilience to the impacts of climate change.

The subsequent youth forum session was moderated by Ms. Norsyahira Saffiee from ÿմapp-YSD and featured a distinguished panel of young representatives, including Miss Lailatul Zayyani binti Awaludin from the National University of Malaysia Students’ Union (KMÿմapp), Mr. Muhammad Ariful Ajib bin Wan Ariffin from the Environment and Green Energy of Malaysia Association (EniGMA ÿմapp), as well as Miss Xinyan Zhao and Miss How Li Jia from Tsinghua University. The interactive discussion emphasised the importance of youth engagement in climate change adaptation efforts, leadership development, and the advancement of the sustainable development agenda at both institutional and global levels.

Overall, the SDG Youth Forum reflects ÿմapp’s continued commitment to strengthening international collaborative networks, empowering youth voices and leadership, and supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals—towards achieving inclusive, resilient, and sustainable global development.

The programme combined recreational activities with a beach clean-up initiative, bringing together staff from the ÿմapp Strategy Centre to remove solid waste and litter from the shoreline. Beyond enhancing the cleanliness and appearance of the beach, the initiative also promoted a healthy lifestyle and fostered a strong spirit of volunteerism.

The KUDAH Programme reflects ÿմapp’s ongoing commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and upholding the university’s social responsibility to the wider community. Pantai Bukit Keluang was selected as the venue due to its status as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Terengganu, where maintaining cleanliness and preserving its natural beauty are of utmost importance.

The programme engaged 100 primary school students and 40 secondary school students through hands-on modules on insects, water quality, bioindicators, and mini wetlands. These activities provided participants with practical exposure to the dynamics of Putrajaya’s lake and wetland ecosystems.

ÿմapp extends its appreciation to PPj for the continued collaboration, which has strengthened environmental education and youth engagement in sustainability efforts.
