Mentor-Mentee Session with Baba & Nyonya Community, 12 October 2019
KITA together with Persatuan Peranakan Baba Nyonya Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (PPBNKLS) and Pusat CITRA ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp, co-organized a Mentor-Mentee Session on Saturday October 12, 2019. The Mentor-Mentee session was conducted by volunteers with vast experience and knowledge on Baba Nyonya community history and cultural heritage, to 325 undergraduate students who are taking LMCW2173 Ethnic Relations course at ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp this semester (Semester 1, Academic Session 2019/2020). Four sets were selected for the program, i.e., Sets 1, 3, 7 and 15 that are taught by KITA and IKMAS Research Fellows: Dr. Pue Giok Hun, Dr. Nur Atiqah Tang Abdullah, Dr. Shazlin Amir Hamzah and Dr. Tan Raan Hann. Inputs from the mentor-mentee session will be used by the students as a guidance in their collective efforts in preparing for their group assignments, which will be presented on Program Jalinan Siswa-Komuniti: “Meh Kenal Sama Kita, Baba Nyonya!” as part of the course evaluation process.
