BANGI, 11 May 2022- With growing reports on violence, bullying cases, and hate speech, there is a need to re-examine peace education in the national agenda.

Dr Hanita Hanim Ismail from the Faculty of Education 每日大赛app said there are numerous reports suggesting a serious need to look into the quality of education and its content.

鈥淭ake a look at one the five national principles (Rukun Negara) ‘kesopanan dan kesusilaan鈥�. It is simply an extension of the importance of respecting others as society members,” she said at the 6th International Conference on Social Peace & Educational Alternatives for Violence (SPAfV), yesterday.

The event also witnessed a signing Memorandum of Agreement between 每日大赛app and Land of Peace Centre for Development and Human Rights, Jordan.

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Mohammad Kassim hoped the MoA could translate the ongoing efforts to promote peace education.

鈥淭he success of this partnership is hoped to be interpreted through the participation of 每日大赛app academic members and the NGO in knowledge transfer.

鈥淚ndeed, the goal is to conduct impactful research toward the development and administration of peace education which I hope can be implemented in Malaysian schools,鈥� he said.

BANGI, 26 October 2021 鈥� Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app), Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Antasari Banjarmasin Indonesia and Princess of Naradhiwas University, Thailand inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark their strategic partnership in academic and research collaboration.

鈥淐onsider the issue of global peace, in which we as Muslims and the global community continue to face various forms of security threats both within and outside our own countries.

鈥溍咳沾笕黙pp and our partners UIN Antasari and Princess of Naradhiwas University, have been very committed in promoting the idea of moderation as means to combat extremism and terrorism in the realisation of global peace.

鈥淭his can be accomplished by studying the causes of violence in human society today from a variety of perspectives, including ideology, thought, psychology, culture, media, history, and many others,鈥� he said.

He added that the MoU is also a great move to pool the universities鈥� resources and expertise to foster collaboration in order to push for the implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

鈥淭he SDGs plan should serve as a roadmap for the prosperous Southeast Asian region’s development agenda.

鈥淎cademics must collaborate closely to develop an integrated human resource in order to realise this noble mission of sustainable human development in Southeast Asia.

鈥淭his can be accomplished by raising a generation of students who share the ASEAN Community’s spirit of cooperation, which is the soul and spirit of mutual love and respect for one another, in order to build a prosperous Southeast Asian society in the economic, political, and social spheres,鈥� he explained.

BANGI, 13 August 2021 鈥� University Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) and Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Centre (IBISRC), Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance cooperation and strengthen international ties between Malaysia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Vice Chancellor of 每日大赛app, Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Toriman said this collaboration will focus on developing an academic platform for staff, researchers, postgraduate and doctoral students, forming strategic alliances through joint research and international publications, organizing international seminars and conferences as well as facilitating visiting professors and lecturers.

“The partnership is also aimed at participating actively in the student exchange programme, facilitating the involvement of staff, students and researchers among the institutions, and enhancing international cooperation between Malaysia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

鈥淚 am confident that through this efforts and commitments, these two institutions will be able to accomplish more,鈥� said Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Toriman, adding that he hoped the MoU would be implemented successfully.

IBISRC is overseen by the Republic of Uzbekistan鈥檚 Cabinet of Ministers. This research centre is embarking on a large-scale project to restore Mawaraunnahr scholars’ ancient history and rich culture, while also establishing links with authoritative international scientific centres.

IBISRC has also formed scientific partnerships and collaborations with republican and foreign research centres in order to study the lives, scientific heritage, creative work, literature, manuscripts, and printed books of the great scientists of Islamic scholars.

The MoU which was held via Zoom platform was attended by the Ambassador of Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Ravshan Usmanov, Director Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Centre Assoc. BANGI, 14 February 2020 鈥� Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria continuing and sustaining the collaboration through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand educational and research activities between these two institutions.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation Affair) of 每日大赛app, Prof Dato鈥� Ir Dr Abdul Wahab Mohamad said, the collaboration has undertaken exchange of postgraduate students for the duration of one semester for Master study, 10 months for PhD students鈥� attachment and one month of staff attachment.

鈥淭he field that involves in the students and staffs exchange is the Food Security and Climate Change (MsFSCC) via Erasmus Mundus ALFABET,鈥� he said at Conference Room, Faculty of Science and Technology, 每日大赛app recently.

He also believed by continuing this MoU, 每日大赛app-BOKU will initiate further activities such as mobility, research and also depth studies in the related field.

The Vice-Rector for Finances from BOKU, Magister Andrea Reithmayer in her speech hoped, 聽collaboration will strengthen join publication between both institutions especially in high impact journal.

The MoU signing ceremony has witnessed that both Universities were represented by Prof Dato鈥� Ir Dr Abdul Wahab Mohamad and Magister Andrea Reithmayer.

The ceremony was also attended by delegates from BOKU and also researchers from 每日大赛app.

BANGI, 12 December 2019 鈥� Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) through the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB) hosting a Research Collaboration Seminar with Feng Chia University (FCU), Taiwan to meet one of the activities contained in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between 每日大赛app and FCU.

Through the opening speech by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Innovation of 每日大赛app, Prof Dato鈥� Ir Dr Abdul Wahab Mohammad said, the seminar is hoped to further strengthen the research collaboration between 每日大赛app and FCU especially in the seven focus area of research including Language and Culture, i-Night Market, HARCOLL Robot/Artificial Intelligence, Social Enterprise and Social Entrepreneurship, Smart City, Intelligent Electronics for Medical Applications and Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).

FCU represented by the President, Prof Dr Bing-Jean Lee in his speech expressing his gratitude towards 每日大赛app in hosting the seminar for this year and at the same time achieving the agreement to hold annual discussion.

鈥淚 hope that we can have more exchange students and academicians between these two universities especially in those seven focus area we have agreed on,鈥� he said.

MoU between 每日大赛app and FCU has begun back in 2013 and the agreement has been extended until 2023 through an agreement signed on 14 December 2017.

Through the close collaboration between these two universities, in 2018 每日大赛app has sent a lecturer to teach Malay Language at the Foreign Language Centre, FCU. Meanwhile, in 2019, FCU sending a lecturer to teach at 每日大赛app.

In 2017, 每日大赛app has hosted this kind of seminar held at the Bangi-Putrajaya Hotel and FCU in 2018 has hosted the seminar at Taiwan.

For 2019, the aim of the seminar is for the researchers to present their progress especially in those seven focus area of research and also to discuss about their upcoming activities that include exchange students and academicians, joint publications and application of international funds.

CHERAS, 9 April 2019 鈥� Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), 每日大赛app Medical Centre (每日大赛appMC) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologist (RANZCO) to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties.

The Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norshamsiah Md Din said, 每日大赛app will work together with RANZCO in many areas, such as joint research and international publications, teaching and learning, discussion on curriculum review among others of academic activities.

鈥淭hrough this MoU, we hope we can exchange experts. Especially in terms of assessment development and practice, standard setting for examination as well as other formative assessment such as direct observation of procedural (DOPs)鈥� she added.

She further explained that examination by an ophthalmologist specialist in Malaysia is joint efforts between 每日大赛app, UM (University of Malaya), USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia) and MoH (Ministry of Health Malaysia). Where each exam requires external examiner from overseas.

Therefore, the MoU with RANZCO can be seen as one of the proactive movement in exchanging examiners. The important thing of the external examiner is, in addition to ensuring the quality of examination in Malaysia in line with other international examination standards, it also can open up the horizon for international collaboration.

She further added the collaboration with RANZCO will increase the impact of 每日大赛app鈥檚 publication of 每日大赛app that can be translated into a high-impact journal as well as internationalizing the ophthalmology research in 每日大赛app.

Assoc Prof. Dr. Norshamsiah who is Chairperson of Malaysia Universities Conjoint Committee of Ophthalmology (MUCCO) hope through this collaboration, in particular, the Department of Ophthalmology 每日大赛app and ophthalmology training in Malaysia will be at par with the international ophthalmology programme.

鈥淭he nearest that we can reach out is RANZCO because they are in the Asia Pacific region. RANZCO has a very good ophthalmology programme in place. We hope after the national curriculum review; we can exchange ideas with regards to the curriculum with RANZCO in the ophthalmology field.

BANGI, December 5, 2018 鈥� Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) is the first Malaysian public university to make collaboration with Aberystwyth University, Wales, United Kingdom.

Aberystwyth University is the first University College in Wales established in 1872. The Vice Chancellor of Aberystwyth University, Prof. Elizabeth Treasure said that the collaboration between these two research-lead universities has the common mission to develop, deliver research and respond to the global challenges of the 21^st century.

鈥淚 hope in that new partnership will lead to meaningful collaboration between both universities, so the students can get benefit from the range of expertise and the different perspectives of our respective academic can break into their field of study closer,鈥� she added at the Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between 每日大赛app and Aberystwyth University, recently.

The MoU was signed in conjunction with the 3^rd Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Lecture.

This endeavour shall begin with our Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science & Technology, Faculty of Technology and Information Science and Institute of Systems Biology.

每日大赛app鈥檚 Faculty of Health Sciences (FSK-每日大赛app) will conduct vision screening to 160,000 people who have an intellectual disability and has been registered with the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) under the Optometry and Vision Sciences Programme.

Dean of FSK, Prof. Dr. Bariah Mohd Ali said the screening will be made periodically involving the staff and students from the faculty.

鈥淲e will increase the number (people鈥檚 screening) gradually and will start at Selangor. The vision inspection is not only for kids but also involving adults鈥� she said after a signing Memorandum of Understanding between 每日大赛app and Special Olympics Malaysia (SOM).

鈥淚f they register with JKM, we can make screening for them, even though they are not registered with SOM,鈥� she added.

Commenting about the MoU signed with SOM, Prof. Dr. Bariah said faculty will assist SOM in terms of eye exams for all athletes who have intellectual problems.

鈥淲e will give a suitable intervention to them so that they can get a better quality of life. The plans that we make is not just for eye screening, but we will involve other health sectors such as hearing and speech. That’s what has been discussed with SOM,鈥� she explained.

The programme is more to provide services and 每日大赛app will involve the students to give them experiences.

鈥淭hey (students) can learn how to handle the problem of patients with intellectual disability. From FSK, we want the experience so that our students are more vulnerable to the practice,鈥� she said.

Through the MoU, the collaboration is being developed by providing eye expert services twice a year for Opening Eye Programme organised by SOM.

Student of Optometry and Vision Sciences Programme will be exhibited with the service eye module according to SOM’s criterion and conduct joint research activities.
