{"id":71,"date":"2019-02-21T00:15:04","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T16:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/?page_id=71"},"modified":"2025-12-03T16:36:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T08:36:53","slug":"admission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/admission\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduation Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>In order to graduate, candidates are required to complete the followings:<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>The students of <strong><span id=\"f347769a-50ba-46c8-82e3-490a384493a6\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"364466a7-559f-48b9-ba5b-890e18be3e4c\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"84f61c9f-6ec2-4eab-977e-b1e00ccb2f43\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"b61aeb00-86df-428e-9bb0-f369a26201cb\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"1b46c28a-3976-486c-8d3a-435b225ed222\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"1b0aeccb-c16d-48d9-92f9-beebfec08da7\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"8c2d3b3e-1ef1-4ba8-869b-c1d0ae6ca753\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"c05b46c0-a302-494e-bf6d-7bb34dadbab8\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">PhD program<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> are required to register and pass <strong>eight (8)<\/strong> credit hours of courses.\n<ul>\n<li>Choose any of the courses listed by the Institutes (<strong>four (4)<\/strong> credit hours).<\/li>\n<li>Compulsory to\u00a0register and pass a course of\u00a0<span id=\"1e1c6bb8-250b-41c1-a052-6169d0df594e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"ef06a406-0088-4219-b14e-cb93f695bf6f\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><strong>Research Methodology (four (4))<\/strong> credit hours.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The students of <strong>Master program<\/strong> are required to register and pass <strong>six (6)<\/strong> credit hours of courses,\n<ul>\n<li>Choose any of the courses listed by the Institutes (<strong>two (2)<\/strong> credit hours).<\/li>\n<li>Compulsory to\u00a0register and pass a course of\u00a0<span id=\"55934f80-afd8-4a07-8728-af7cbd084b19\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"77f91891-2ec1-455c-8174-333b90c70335\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><strong>Research Methodology (four (4))<\/strong> credit hours.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>During the study, students are required to present a paper at the colloquium Institute. Students are required to make an oral presentation at least <strong>2 times (PhD Program)<\/strong> and <strong>1 time (Master Program)<\/strong> in the period of study.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>At the final stage of study, students are required to submit <strong>three (3)<\/strong> copies of the thesis and pass an oral presentation during the session, the successful candidate will be awarded a PhD or Masters Degree.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><span id=\"d15bab2e-2fce-4844-beaf-858b08105d9a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">Manuscript <span id=\"edd47085-a45a-4837-b543-9fdc5e6566b1\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"f5dc311b-b4ad-4b1d-8614-efd0db822ef2\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"d5fa3764-e235-4ab5-b9c9-ffda701a1dd3\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"37f801e9-1800-419b-8848-778a129b444f\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"2640daa7-e764-46b6-ab5a-6b126a96418a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">publication<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> requirements;<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PhD Program: <\/strong>At least <strong>two (2)<\/strong> articles in a Web of Science (WoS) indexed journal and acceptance for publication.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Master Program: <\/strong>At least one<strong>\u00a0(1)<\/strong> articles in Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals and acceptance for publication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Bahasa Melayu requirements;\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates from abroad are required to attend <strong>one<\/strong><strong> (1)<\/strong> courses equivalent to <strong>three (3)<\/strong> units for the Bahasa Melayu courses prescribed by the University.
