Malaysia has received an invitation from <em>Centre of Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries<\/em>\u00a0(NAM S&amp;T Centre) for researchers, policy makers, and related government officials to participate in the\u00a0<em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>International Conference on Improving Efficiency And Effectiveness In Health Delivery Systems in Developing Countries: Research, Implementation and Policy Issues<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d\u00a0<\/em>on\u00a0<strong>21-23 November 2023<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Mauritius<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>organized by NAM S&amp;T Centre,\u00a0New Delhi in collaboration with\u00a0<em>JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research<\/em>, Mauritius (JSSAHERM).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The topics that will be discussed during this workshop are as follows:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Access to quality essential healthcare services;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Support research, development and universal access to affordable vaccines and medicines;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Frame strategies to reduce mortality from non-communicable diseases and promote mental health;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Fight communicable diseases;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Increase health financing and support the health workforce in developing countries;<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination \u2013 Environmental Health; and<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Understand the role of natural products in health care systems.<\/em><\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Interested officers should send the application form (as in Appendix 2), as well as relevant supporting documents (MS Word format) to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">ungkuaida@mosti.gov.my<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">shafiqahshaherra@mosti.gov.my<\/span> and copied to<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> syamsida@mosti.gov.my<\/span> no later than 12.00 noon, 13 October 2023 (Friday) for the purpose of screening and verification by MOSTI as the Focal Point of the NAM S&amp;T Center in Malaysia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Applications that do not receive any response within two weeks from the application closing date are considered unsuccessful.
