Aidilfitri at UMBI

UMBIans celebrated Hari Raya on 18^th July 2017 with the theme “Aidilfitri dirai, UMBI di hati” (celebrating Aidilfitri with UMBI in our hearts), in conjunction with its 14^th anniversary and birthday celebration for UMBIans born in the months of May, June, July and August. In his speech, UMBI Director Professor Datuk Dr A Rahman A Jamal reminded everyone to have an open heart, know our roles, responsibilities and privileges in UMBI and continue to contribute to the institute’s growth and development. This year’s celebration was carried out in moderation, with UMBIans taking up the challenge of preparing food and beverage with the “potluck” concept. The day was filled with fun and laughter as UMBIans reveled in good cheer while participating in activities such as karaoke (the “UMBI Idol Raya” contest), Raya video greeting, fashion show (“reka busana”), food design (“reka juadah”) and taking photos at beautiful, home-made photo booths. There was also the best-dressed UMBIan contest, where the theme for this year was “songket and lace”. The biggest attraction for the day would be the announcement of the winners for “The Biggest Loser Season 2”, where names of contestants who lost the most weight during the fasting month were announced.
