Universitas Indonesia Delegation’s Academic Visit to the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp
Cheras, 19 August 2025 – The Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp), received a courtesy visit from the delegation of Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Medicine, in an academic visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.
The delegation was led by Sasanthy Kusumaningtyas, Head of the Department of Anatomy, Universitas Indonesia, accompanied by Deswaty Furqonita (Head of Anatomy Laboratory), Drg. Haamid Hasan Haikal (Anatomy Department staff), Wahyudin (Anatomy Laboratory Technician), and Farah Fadhilah Rosyadi (Coordinator of the Anatomy Department Visit Programme).
The visit was also joined by academic members of ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp, namely Dr. Mohamad Fairuz Yahaya (Deputy Head of the Department of Anatomy), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elvy Suhana Mohd Ramli (Medical Lecturer DU14 ), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoh Seong Lin ( University Lecturer DS14), Dr. Taty Anna Kamarudin ( University Lecturer DS13), Dr. Mohd Amir Kamaruzzaman ( Medical Lecturer DU13), Dr. Rasyidah Rehir ( Medical Trainee Lecturer DU13P), and Mr. Shaiful Ridzwan Sapri (Medical Laboratory Technologist U7).
The primary purpose of this visit was to explore potential future collaborations in the field of academic and anatomical education, while also gaining deeper insights into the implementation and development of anatomy laboratory management at ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp.
The Universitas Indonesia delegation also expressed their admiration for the expertise and contributions of the Department of Anatomy, ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp, in advancing medical education and anatomical sciences at both the national and international levels. This visit is expected to pave the way for the exchange of ideas, the strengthening of institutional ties, and the enhancement of academic excellence between the two faculties.
During the visit, the delegation was given a tour of the anatomy laboratory facilities, participated in discussion sessions with ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp academics, and exchanged views on effective approaches to anatomy teaching and laboratory management. This visit reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening regional collaboration in the field of anatomy and supporting the advancement of medical education in ASEAN.
