Introduction

The Forensic Science program offers a field that provides holistic graduates who apply investigative science in law enforcement across various areas such as DNA, Anthropology, Entomology, Fire Chemistry, Crime Scene Investigation, Pathology, and many other subfields.

Not only focused on the field of forensics, Forensic Science students have an advantage compared to similar programs offered by other universities due to the high chemistry content in the course structure, which is emphasized early in the program.听Forensic Science students are also recognized as chemists upon graduation by the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, in addition to their expertise as forensic specialists.

Career Prospects

  • Enforcement officers
  • Chemists in government or private laboratories
  • Investigation officers in government agencies such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM), etc.; or in corporate companies within the banking or insurance sectors.
