This is the statement of ethics for聽Jurnal Pengurusan聽published by聽Penerbit Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia聽(每日大赛app Press). This statement was adapted from the principles of the Committee聽on Publication Ethics (COPE) and covers the code of ethics for聽chief editor, editorial board members, reviewers and authors.
DUTIES OF AUTHORS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Have the responsibility of ensuring only new and original work is submitted.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Must not reproduce work that has been previously published in other journals.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Must not submit any articles that are being reviewed or considered by the journal to other journals simultaneously.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Are only allowed to publish their work elsewhere after receiving a formal rejection from the journal or if their request to withdraw their work is officially accepted by the journal.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Must inform the Chief Editor or the publisher of any inaccuracy of data in their published work so that correction or retraction of article can be done.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Should make significant contributions and be held accountable for any shortcoming in their work.聽
DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Must disclose any competing interest before agreeing to review a submission.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Can refuse to review any submission due to a conflict of interest or inadequate knowledge.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Review all submissions objectively, fairly and professionally.聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Reveal any ethical misconduct encountered while reviewing to the Chief Editor for further action.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Should ensure the originality of a submission and be alert to any plagiarism and redundant publication.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Must not discuss the content of the submission without permission.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Adhere to the time allocated for the review process. Requests for extension to review the submission is at the discretion of the Chief Editor.
DUTIES OF EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBERS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Actively contribute to the development and the greater good of the journal.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Act as ambassadors for the journal.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Continuously support and promote the journal.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Review any work assigned to them.
DUTIES OF ASSOCIATE EDITORS
路聽 聽 聽 Assessing submitted manuscripts for suitability and compliance with publication standards.
路聽 聽 聽 Collaborating with chief editor to develop and maintain editorial calendars and publication schedules.
路聽 聽 聽 Participating in editorial meetings to contribute to content planning and strategy.
路聽 聽 聽 Contributing to the development of editorial policies and procedures.
DUTIES OF CHIEF EDITOR
路聽 聽 聽 Evaluate manuscripts fairly and solely on their intellectual merit.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure confidentiality of manuscripts and not disclose any information regarding manuscripts to anyone other than the people involved in the publishing process.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Has the responsibility to decide when and which articles are to be published.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Actively seek the views of board members, reviewers and authors on how to improve/ increase the image and visibility of the journal.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Give clear instructions to potential contributors on the submission process and what is expected of the authors.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected/ identified for the reviewing process.聽
REVIEW PROCESS
The manuscript undergo a desk review by the Associate Editors. Each manuscript that passes desk review is assigned to the Editorial Board Members. Then, at least two independent reviewers will be appointed for a double-blind peer review process. Decisions on the manuscript publication will be based on the recommendations and considerations by the Editorial Board Members and approved by the Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts submitted by Journal Editorial Board Members are subject to the same review procedures.
PLAGIARISM
聽鈥⒙燗uthors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized, and has not been published or being considered elsewhere.聽 Appropriate softwares may be used by the editorial office to check for similarities of submitted manuscripts with existing literature. Inclusion of fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unacceptable. Work and/or words from other publications must be appropriately cited or quoted.
REPORTING
鈥⒙燗uthors should state their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.The methods used in the work should be clearly and unambiguously described so that the findings can be repeated and confirmed by other researchers.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
鈥⒙燗 statement on conflict of interest must be included in the manuscript if authors receive any support that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.聽
AUTHORSHIP AND COLLABORTION
鈥⒙燦ame of authors listed in a paper should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the report. Only those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the work must be acknowledged or listed as contributors. It is the duty of the corresponding author to ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper.聽 All co-authors must approve the final version of the paper and agree to the version of the paper before submission.
MULTIPLE OR REDUNDANT
鈥⒙燗uthors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research output in more than one journal or primary publication. A similar manuscript should not be submitted to more than one journal concurrently as this constitutes as unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
If the article is accepted for publication, copyright of this article will be vested to Penerbit 每日大赛app, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
