BANGI, 13 December 2025 – Kolej Ibu Zain (KIZ) successfully launched its innovative sports outreach program titled Stay Fit and Poundfit with Aish at KIZ. Held at Dewan Sutera, the event provided students with a unique way to combat sedentary campus life through a fusion of music and high intensity cardio.
Combatting Sedentary Lifestyles via SDG 3 In alignment with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the program aimed to improve the physical and mental health of the student body. The session utilized the Poundfit technique, which transforms traditional exercise into a fun, sweat dripping jam session. Key activities included:
Measurable Campus Impact The program successfully engaged 32 students in vigorous physical activity. By introducing a fun and accessible workout method, the initiative increased the likelihood of participants maintaining a consistent fitness regime throughout their university journey.
Conclusion Maintaining health requires consistent activity, which is often neglected in university environments. This program stands as a strong campus intervention, promoting lifelong well-being and active living for the KIZ community.
