Foreign Language Poetry Performances Added Colours to ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp’s Malam Puisi Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa

BANGI, 8 September 2017 – ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp showcased three academicians, who recited poetry translated to Arabic, French and German, at the recent Malam Puisi Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa.
Assoc Prof Dr Ashinida Aladdin presented the poetry fluently in Arabic, Dr Suzianna Mat Saad delivered hers in French and Hasnoor Shima Ahmad Hassan presented in German.
At the ceremony, ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp Vice Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali presented a heartfelt poetry entitled ‘Jiwa ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp Jiwa Merdeka’ composed by Abd Razak Hussin.
Also presented the poem was Sasterawan Negara Datuk Dr Zurinah Hassan, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dato’ Dr Musa Ahmad and top management of ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp.
In line with theme of independent month ‘Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa’, the programme was organized to give awareness to the public, especially young generation about the importance of poetry, a Malay heritage.
The ceremony, held in conjunction with the Malaysia’s 60th Independence, was jointly organized by ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia through the Department of Information Malaysia and the Utusan Malaysia Group.
