BANGI, 1 August 2017- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp) managed to reunite 50 of its first batch of alumni and 11 former lecturers at the Majlis Ramah Mesra Alumni ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp 70, recently.
The main purpose of this reunion was to tighten the bond between alumni while discussing a few matters regarding the university’s development.
Some of the suggestions include building a house for alumni to gather when they plan to hold a meeting.
“Actually, a site has already been allocated for the building but the construction was disrupted due to several reasons.
“Hence, the administration is currently continuing our efforts to allocate a different site for the proposed building,” said ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof Dato’ Noor Aziah Mohd Awal.
She also suggested the alumni to be actively involved in the university’s development to ensure a brighter future for ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp.
Meanwhile, ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp Alumni Council Director, Prof Dato’ Dr Mohamad Abdul Razak stated that a university’s success greatly depends on its alumni contributions.
“The contribution does not necessarily have to be in a physical or financial form, instead, just sharing brilliant ideas or suggestions to help improve the university are sufficient enough,” he said.
The proposal to launch ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp alumni fund was also highlighted to help students in need.
Also present at the ceremony was former ÿÈÕ´óÈüapp Vice-Chancellor, Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Mohd Sham Sani.![]()
