LANGKAWI, 31 March 2017 –  Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (ÿ�մ���app), one of the Malaysia’s premiere Research University, strengthened its relationship with the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed in Langkawi, recently.

Faculty of Health Science (FSK) Dean, Prof. Dr. Bariah Mohd Ali said that the collaboration will enable FSK students to undergo industrial training at MMEA.

“Besides that, our students will be given priority in any job interviews conducted by MMEA,” she said at the MoU Signing Ceremony held in conjunction with Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2017, recently.

She said in terms of research, ÿ�մ���app and MMEA will share their expertise to facilitate research.

“MMEA has allowed our students to use their facilities such as state-of-the-art laboratories and ÿ�մ���app will contribute by becoming consultants in some cases especially those pertaining to forensic science.

“We are also given the opportunity to use their facilities for teaching and learning,” she said.

Meanwhile, MMEA employees who are interested to pursue higher education are encouraged to study in ÿ�մ���app.

At the signing ceremony, ÿ�մ���app was represented by its Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali, while MMEA was represented by its Director General, Laksamana Maritim Dato’ Sri Ahmad Puzi Ab Kahar.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
