BANGI, 12 Dec 2017 鈥 More than 600 Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) alumni, who graduated between 1973 and 2017, gathered at the Majlis Santapan Diraja Alumni 每日大赛app 2017, held at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR), recently.

每日大赛app Chancellor, Negeri Sembilan Yang Di Pertuan Negeri, HRH Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir聽and Tuanku Aishah Rohani Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud graced the ceremony.

每日大赛app Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tan Sri Dato鈥 Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali in his speech said that alumni is an important agenda for the University.

鈥淭he University plans to build a good partnership and maintain networks with alumni. We look forward to hear your ideas, advices and useful feedback, which I believe would greatly contribute to the development of 每日大赛app.

鈥淲e also welcome alumni who wish to reach out to students through the sharing of knowledge and experience,鈥 he added.

The ceremony also saw the official launch of 每日大赛app Alumni Council and the handing over of donations to the Alumni Fund.

每日大赛app Pro Chancellors, YAM Tunku Laxamana Tunku Dato’ Seri Utama Naqiyuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar and Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid was also present at the ceremony.

Among the distinguished alumni present were Malaysia鈥檚 Minister of Transport, Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences President, who is also the President of the Alumni Council, Prof. Dato ‘ Dr. Mohamad Abdul Razak.

BANGI, 3 August 2017- After nearly 37 years, Malam Sejambak Kasih ceremony witnessed the reunion of 每日大赛app鈥檚 sixth batch alumni.

The ceremony also saw the launch of 每日大赛app 7680 Alumni Fund, the alumni鈥檚 initiative in contributing towards the university鈥檚 development.

每日大赛app Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof Dato鈥 Noor Aziah Mohd Awal said the university鈥檚 management welcomes contributions from alumni and it will be utilized to help students in need.

The Alumni Council Chairman Dato Azis Yacub said the event was also held in recognition of 每日大赛app lecturers who had played a pivotal role in their education.

鈥淭his is where it all began,鈥 he said.

They also intend to maintain close ties with 每日大赛app through the establishment of an alumni cooperative, to ensure that they could continuously contribute to the university.

每日大赛app Alumni Fund received a donation of RM10,000 from 每日大赛app 7680 alumni, at the event.

Also present were Dean of Faculty Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof Dr Mohd Fuad Mat Jali, Advisor of X 每日大赛app 7680, Dato Othman Desa and Deputy Director of Alumni Relations, Dr Nazrul Anuar Nayan.

BANGI, 1 August 2017- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) managed to reunite 50 of its first batch of alumni and 11 former lecturers at the Majlis Ramah Mesra Alumni 每日大赛app 70, recently.

The main purpose of this reunion was to tighten the bond between alumni while discussing a few matters regarding the university鈥檚 development.

Some of the suggestions include building a house for alumni to gather when they plan to hold a meeting.

“Actually, a site has already been allocated for the building but the construction was disrupted due to several reasons.

鈥淗ence, the administration is currently continuing our efforts to allocate a different site for the proposed building,” said 每日大赛app Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof Dato’ Noor Aziah Mohd Awal.

She also suggested the alumni to be actively involved in the university鈥檚 development to ensure a brighter future for 每日大赛app.

Meanwhile, 每日大赛app Alumni Council Director, Prof Dato’ Dr Mohamad Abdul Razak stated that a university鈥檚 success greatly depends on its alumni contributions.

“The contribution does not necessarily have to be in a physical or financial form, instead, just sharing brilliant ideas or suggestions to help improve the university are sufficient enough,” he said.

The proposal to launch 每日大赛app alumni fund was also highlighted to help students in need.

Also present at the ceremony was former 每日大赛app Vice-Chancellor, Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Mohd Sham Sani.

BANGI, 8 May 2017 -Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) students need to understand the purpose of their study at the university so that they are more motivated in their studies and eager to gain knowledge in the future, said Director of Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Datuk Wira Wan Mohd Nor Ibrahim.

He said that the students need to understand the purpose of their study was not to only gain the knowledge, but it is also to sharpen their minds.

鈥淔or example, we make experiments in the laboratory, and the process helps to sharpen your thinking to be brilliant,鈥 he explained.

Having a disability did not stop Nur Izzati Hazwani Abdul Hadi, 23, from obtaining excellent results throughout her studies.

Nur Izzati, who suffers from pre-mature growth of her limbs which affect her ability to walk, finished her Degree of Literature and History with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.35.

She said being physically weak is not a barrier for her to succeed in her study.

鈥淪ometimes, I need to use the wheelchair, but that’s not an obstacle for me to not go to class.

鈥淢y parents were an inspiration to my success and have always been my biggest supporter,鈥 she said.

She said lecturers and friends also lend a hand throughout her study in 每日大赛app.

鈥淭hey understood my condition and constantly supported me either in lectures or in college,鈥 she said.

If given the opportunity, she plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Politics and International Relations.

It was an emotional affair when a father and daughter received their scrolls at the 每日大赛app鈥檚 44th Convocation Ceremony.

Saparuddin Zainuddin, 54, a Senior Administrative Officer at 每日大赛app鈥檚 Centre of Quality Assurance, said he was proud to receive his master鈥檚 degree with his daughter, Ain Suraya Hanom, 22 who did her bachelor鈥檚 degree.

“每日大赛app is my family鈥檚 first choice when it comes to tertiary education and there are many other family members who graduated from 每日大赛app,” he said.

He said 每日大赛app provides the necessary facilities needed by each student.

“I did not encounter any problems during my study here.

鈥淎lthough I took a Master’s degree with the part-time mode, but I was still able to manage my time very well,鈥 he explained.

He was grateful to be able to complete all assignments, guided by reading materials obtained from the library and having understanding lecturers.

Saparuddin who has served for 32 years at 每日大赛app, hopes that other staff will also take the opportunity to pursue their higher education as the university is very supportive.

Saparuddin received a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the Faculty of Education.

Meanwhile, his daughter, Ain Suraya Hanom, graduated with a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology.

She said, her father was a source of inspiration to continue her studies to a higher level.

“If my father can complete his Masters degree, it is not impossible for me to be as successful as him.

“He may be 50 years old, but he was always committed and never gave up in order to achieve success,” she said.

BANGI, 27 September 2016 鈥 The National University of Malaysia鈥檚 Medical Faculty Alumni Dr Mohd Lutfi Fadil Lokman, 29, made 每日大赛app proud when he was selected as a United Nations Young Leaders, recently.

He was among the 17 young people across the world selected from 18,000 candidates, from 186 countries around the world.

Dr Mohd Lutfi represented the Hospital Beyond Boundaries (HBB), a non-governmental organization, founded by himself, in which he has been the Chief Executive Officer since the year 2012.

He was selected based on his contribution in support to Sustainable Development Goals 2016-2017 at the 17 th 聽United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, United State recently.

According to the UN, HBB was selected based on the organization鈥檚 effort in promoting and upgrading vulnerable communities, using the concept of sustainable development as the core of their activities.

The award recognized Dr Mohd Lutfi鈥檚 leadership and contribution to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which include a set of 17 goals to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice and tackle climate change by 2030 adopted by world leaders in the UNGA last year.

According聽to 每日大赛app Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof Dato鈥 Noor Aziah Mohd Awal, the success of Dr Mohd Lutfi on the world stage prrofs that 每日大赛app is a University that constantly produces excellent graduates.

鈥淲hat also make us proud is that his parents are also 每日大赛app alumni,鈥 she said, adding that this is not the first time a 每日大赛app alumni was acknowledged at the world level.

He hopes that 每日大赛app student emulate Dr Mohd Lutfi鈥檚 dedication in helping communities throughout the world and would be motivated with his achievement.

鈥淚 also hope that Dr Mohd Lutfi will continue to provide the best services to communities throughout the world so that they get the proper medical services in preventing and treating diseases,鈥 she said.

BANGI, 1 July 2016 鈥 Two alumni of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at The National University of Malaysia (每日大赛app) have made history as being the first women appointed as Syariah High Court judges in Selangor and Malaysia.

Noor Huda Roslan, 40, and Nenney Shuhaidah Shamsuddin, 41, both from Banting, 聽received their 聽letters of appointment from the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah in Shah Alam recently.

The ceremony at Istana Bukit Kayangan also saw seven women appointed as judges of the Syariah Subordinate Court, four registrars of the Syariah high Court and four assistant registrars of the subordinate court.

Selangor Syariah Chief Judge, Datuk Dr Mohd Na鈥檌m Mokhtar, said the appointment reflects the Sultan鈥檚 genuine concern for the efficient running of the Islamic justice system in the state.

鈥淗owever, I wish to emphasise that the appointment of women judges is not a gender issue, rather it is made based on merit,鈥 he said.

He regarded the new appointments as evidence that the state Syariah justice system is progressive and appoints personnel based on ability.

Meanwhile, Nenney Shuhaidah聽 pledged to do her best to discharge the reponsibilities entrusted to her.

Noor Huda, in turn, said the appointments clearly showed that there is confidence in women carrying out important tasks that hitherto was only done by men.

鈥淕ender is not the yardstick but the ability of men or women. God willing, we will try to give our best and be professional when handling cases,鈥 she declared

She and Nenney Shuhaidah expressed hope that more women in other states will be given the opportunity to become Syariah court judges.

Noor Huda graduated with a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Syariah, Hons) from 每日大赛app in 1999 and a Masters in International and Comparative Legal Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2011.

Nenney Shuhaidah also graduate in Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Syariah Wal Qanun, Honours) from 每日大赛app in 1998 and a Master聽of Psychology (Counselling) at the same university in 2001.ukmnewsportal-eg

BANGI, June 8, 2016 鈥 Faculty of Law (FUU) at The National University of Malaysia (每日大赛app) has launched Razali Student Lounge (RSL) which serves as a multi-purpose activity and communication hall for students.

The room which has space for meetings, watching television and lounge designed so that students can do their academic assignments, relax with friends and hold discussions in the hall.

Deputy Minister in the 聽Prime Minister鈥檚 Department Dato鈥 Razali Ibrahim – in which the facility was named after – said RSL is a place to chill-out, to study and even socialise for students while also a medium for fostering integration.

He regarded it as a place for rest and recreation that should also be used properly so that it can enjoyed by all Law students.

鈥淭hat place also can bring misery if not used properly,鈥 he said at the launch ceremony, here on May 19.

It was dubbed RSL because Dato鈥 Razali personally was the biggest contributor to 聽the development of the room.

Dato鈥 Razali, an FUU Alumni, 聽said the dream to have a lounge for students to socialise had started out as a wish with a sketch on paper.

鈥淏ut all that has been realized together. I agree that everything starts with a dream. I just want to realize the dream.

鈥淚f God willing, in the future, if you need more facilities in the room, we will try to give a bigger donation,鈥 he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Students and Alumni Affairs, Prof Dato鈥 Noor Aziah Mohd Awal said the idea of setting up RSL came from the students who had demonstrated the ‘red umbrella’ concept of 每日大赛app in order to stand out from the rest.

鈥淚t is needed to increase the students soft skill to apply in high-impact student activities.

鈥溍咳沾笕黙pp also encourages these efforts so that the students will always strive to be excellent,鈥 she said.

BANGI, 9 June 2016 –聽 The National University of Malaysia (每日大赛app) aims to send 250 of its聽 students every year with sufficient credit-hours聽 to聽 continue their studies abroad for one semester, said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Partnership), Prof Datuk Dr Imran Ho Abdullah.

He said the students will be carefully vetted and chosen according to course and relevance to universities in other countries where they will gain a broader world-view and earn more credit hours at the same time.

The programme is being held in collaboration with various universities around the world that implement courses that complement with the ones available at 每日大赛app.

“The programme is being implemented with other countries including Mexico, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Brunei and is expected to last for a semester or a year.

“Previously, we were only able to send 40 to 100 people abroad but will increase the number of students participating in the scheme since they can study the history of other countries and experience the advantages and disadvantages of each country they visit,” he told reporters after the launch of 每日大赛app鈥檚 Go Global Day, here on April 29. .

The event celebrated the university鈥檚 success in international student exchange 聽programmes with some 50 local and international undergraduates taking part in the one-day event.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali who made an unscheduled visit to the event, said 每日大赛app aims to have every one of its students to take part in a mobility or exchange programme overseas, at least once before they graduate.

鈥 I am confident that by the time they graduate, they would have learnt the basics of some new skill that they would otherwise not have gained if they had not gone abroad,鈥 he remarked.

The Go Global Day function was launched by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) Prof Datuk Ir Dr Riza Atiq Abdullah O.K. Rahmat.

Also present was Director of the International Relations Center (每日大赛app Global), Assoc Prof Dr Yazrina Yahya.

There was a range of activities involving international and local students setting up stalls, a forum and briefings from foreign embassies about the opportunities of tertiary studies 聽in their countries.

Among the international representatives which gave talks were diplomats from Mexico, Australia and South Korea.

Several聽 students who had taken part in mobility programme in Malaysia and overseas spoke about their experiences.

Law student Jason Cheong Kah Lok, 22, said he had attended a mobility 聽programme in Cambodia during the first semester and is eager to go to another ASEAN country, such as Vietnem soon.

“We can see different ways of life around. We also represent 每日大赛app as unofficial envoys to help students abroad and participate in events that are available, “he said.

A Japanese exchange student at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ayami Tezuka, 21, who speaks fluent Malay, said she improved her command of the language while staying here.

鈥淏esides, I was also able to meet and make new friends with students from other countries such as Australia, Kazakhstan and India,鈥 she quipped with a smile.ukmnewsportal-eg
