每日大赛app Waqaf Fund launched

BANGI, 21 Mei, 2010 –聽 A 每日大赛app Waqaf (Endowment) Fund was launched today to help finance its research and academic activities as well as its various students welfare programmes which among others would help some of its needy students meet their expenses.
A Memorandum of Understanding to make this possible was signed by 每日大赛app and the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) followed by the signing of 聽a Letter of Intent between 每日大赛app and CIMB that allows for its set up and how the public can contribute to it.
Vice Chancellor Tan Sri Dato鈥 Prof. Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin signed on behalf of 每日大赛app and MAIS was represented by its Chairman, Dato鈥 Setia Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa. CIMB was represented by the Chief Executive Officer CIMB Islamic, Encik Badlisyah Abdul Ghani. Also present was CIMB Islamic chairman, Dato鈥 Dr Syed Muhamad Syed Abdul Kadir.
MAIS as the trustee of Waqaf property and funds in Selangor has set up a 每日大赛app Waqaf fund enabling any member of the public to directly contribute to it. The agreement with CIMB is to appoint it as the collection agent for the 每日大赛app Wakaf to facilitate contribution by internet banking with CIMB click. This enables anyone to contribute at any time, 24 hours a day, through CIMB click. CIMB will also sponsor and promote the 每日大赛app Waqaf fund in its Islamic Banks.
鈥淭he returns from the Wakaf Fund will be utilised for education, student welfare, the student development fund, research and academic development fund and 每日大赛app Industry and community network fund,鈥 said Prof Sharifah Hapsah.
She hopes the 每日大赛app Waqaf Fund will develop 每日大赛app to be like the renowned Al Azhar University in Cairo which depended on its Waqaf fund for centuries. She also mentioned that Harvard University have聽 11000 endownment funds amounting to AS$16 Billion.
Apart from cash contribution, the public can also contribute by salary deductions through e-Waqaf 每日大赛app, CIMB Clicks, BIMB, Giro BSN, Maybank Islamic, and AmIslamic.
