FINES FOR OVERDUE MATERIALS

Overdue books are subjected to fines at the following rates:

• General CollectionsÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý RM0.50 per book per day
• Red Spot CollectionÌý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýRM 3.00 per book per day
• Closed Access CollectionÌý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýRM 0.50 per book per day

Fines are not imposed during holidays (Library closed)

FINES FOR LOSS OF MATERIALSÌý

Users are subjected to the following procedures:

• Replace the book with the same or newer edition plus RM100.00 processing fee OR replace the book with the same subject plus RM100.00 processing fee OR pay the current price of the book plus RM100.00 processing feeÌý
• Overdue fines (if any)

MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION

1. The applicant must register in person at the General Office of Customer Service Division during office hours.
2. The applicant must fill in the and provide one (1) photo (passport size).
3. Please bring confirmation letter from the respective authority.
4. Membership is not transferable and is valid for one (1) year.
5. Loss of the library card must be reported to the General Office of the Customer Service Division. A fine of RM10 will be imposed and the replacement card will be issued within one (1) day.

• This service is extended to all academics, professionals, administrative staff, postgraduates and students of the university. Undergraduate students of the university may be considered for the service if the required items are available only in our/the libraries where they are denied library membership.
• Applications can be made through the LibQuest System:
• Applicants will be charged for the cost of materials supplied and services fees.
• Materials published in the country are FREE but foreign materials will be charged.

SERVICE CHARGE:

Postgraduate and final year undergraduate:

• For item from other libraries, users are billed for the cost of item and service charge determined by the lending libraries.

• This service provides assistance/advice to students and staff in information search for their research projects, working papers and coursework. The librarian will perform a literature search on your topic in the appropriate databases and will provide a list of references.
• FREE for all academics and postgraduate students

Pay per View (PPV) is a document delivery service for articles which are not available in the Library electronic resources collection based on users’ request.

The Information Skills Course is a guidance and education service programme for library customers.Ìý The main aim of this course is to build skills in accessing a variety of materials and information resources and to guide the customers towards using the materials and services provided by the library efficiently, effectively and independently.Ìý This course is ongoing and contains modules as below;

• Library Information Resource Exploration
• Managing your references: EndNote 20 (Specialized software for bibliographic references)
• Managing your references: Mendeley (Specialized software for bibliographic references)
• Get to know Grey Literature
• Library Information Resource Exploration:
  Islamic Studies
