SYNOPSIS
LaTeX is a document preparation system for high-quality typesetting often used for medium-to-large technical or scientific documents.聽 As researchers aspire to produce high quality journal articles, LaTeX has become the preferred software. Other than neater documents and the fact that it is an open-source software, LaTeX offers a variety of advantages for documents requiring heavy cross-links between figures, tables and references.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Zambri Harun holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a BSc. and an MEng. from Renselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York. He has worked as engineers in the manufacturing and civil works for eight years. He is currently the Head of Mechanical Engineering Programme and a senior fellow at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, the National University of Malaysia (每日大赛app). He currently researches in the field of fluid mechanics and in particular, vortex modifications in boundary layer. He also researches into atmopheric-scale turbulence and urban heat island (UHI). Todate he has published over 80 articles in fluid mechanics as well as in teaching & learning.
REQUIREMENT
Participants are required to bring their laptop and softcopy of the relevant articles in order to help in answering all the exercises to be completed and presented during the workshop. Participants also are encouraged to use your own broadband or hotspot. We are sorry that we have very limited internet access.
