International Students Strut Their Stuff at 1st 每日大赛app World Art Festival

BANGI, Jan 13, 2016 鈥 Some 60 international students from various countries include Indonesia, Mexico, China, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, Iran, Nigeria, Iraq, Germany and Malaysia took part in the 1st 每日大赛app World Art Festival (每日大赛appWAF) held recently.
Director of 每日大赛appWAF, Nursyamimi Syahira Saripan said the objective of this show thaws to introduce international art and culture to the campus community society and surrounding areas besides showcasing Malaysian culture to the world.
鈥淭his programme is not only focused on art and culture, but we also organised 聽community art services involving the participants at the 每日大赛app Medical Centre, as a form of Art Therapy for patients there,鈥 she explained.
The second year Media and Communication Studies (MENTION) student said a variety of activities were carried out throughout a week of the programme in late November last, including ‘Cultural Discussions’, ‘Pocket Presentations’ and visits around Kuala Lumpur.
鈥楪ala Night Show鈥 featured many of interesting performances including dances, singing, comedy and musical theatre from each country of the performers.
鈥淭he response to this programme has been very encouraging for 每日大赛app students and also the surrounding community. About 2,000 people witnessed the show and the hall was packed full. This was something unexpected,鈥 she declared
She expressed hope the 每日大赛appWAF can help make students 鈥楢rt and Culture Literate鈥 of a more international character.
鈥淗opefully in the future there will be parties out there donating funds to our campus artists in an effort to popularise cultural arts to the community,鈥 she stressed.
The naugural program was a major project organised by students from the Artisukma Secretariat in collaboration with the Cultural Centre of 每日大赛app.
