BANGI, 23 August 2025 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (每日大赛app) has officially launched the 36th Architectural Student Workshop (MARTABAT) 2025, bringing together architecture students from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand to strengthen academic industry linkage and foster regional collaboration within the architectural community.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Chairman of the 每日大赛app鈥檚 Board of Directors, Prof. Emeritus Dato鈥 Dr. Mohamad Abd. Razak highlighted the significance of architecture as a reflection of identity, heritage, and values that must be preserved and advanced by the younger generations.
鈥淎nd today, through MARTABAT 2025, I see the spirit of that balance alive and thriving among our students.
鈥淭his gathering is more than a workshop. It is a stage where leadership, ideas, and aspirations are tested.
鈥淚t is a reminder that the profession must rise to the challenges of our age 鈥 climate change, urbanisation, sustainability 鈥 with courage, creativity, and compassion,鈥 he said.
In his speech, Prof. Emeritus Dato鈥 Dr. Mohamad also announced 每日大赛app鈥檚 plan to establish a Faculty of Architecture and Design, marking a significant milestone for the university and nation.
鈥淎 faculty devoted to architecture and design will serve as a guardian of heritage, a forge of innovation, and a torchbearer of Malaysian identity on the global stage.
鈥淎nd it is most fitting that this news is shared here 鈥 in the presence of our students, academics, and professional partners,鈥 he added.
MARTABAT 2025 serves as a vital platform for students to showcase their creativity and expertise through various activities, while also strengthening collaboration between higher learning institutions and professional bodies across nations.
The programme is organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment through the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Architecture (PAM).
